Waymon Curtis Bailey was born 04/11/1962 in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Waymon Wyatt Bailey and Frankie Kimbrough Bailey. Even in his illness, he was a wonderful husband, an amazing father and grandfather, a loving brother, uncle, and cousin, and a very caring friend. It was his nature to practice love by his works and not by words alone.
Waymon attended George Washington Carver Comprehensive High School in Atlanta, Ga. He held many leadership careers throughout the course of his life. To name a few, he worked as a retail store manager, restaurant chef for S&S Cafeteria, and company driver for Boar’s Head. He always put forth the greatest effort in any job that he attained. He enjoyed music, singing and dancing. His favorite songs were, “I Won’t Complain, It is Well, and My Soul is Anchored.” Waymon also enjoyed sports. Growing up, he was entertained by wrestling, track and field, and racing and repairing bicycles. He was fond of caring for his dog, Nyla. Waymon was always a cloud of joy, he wore a radiant smile, and so full of life.
Waymon gave his life to the Lord at an early age where he attended Beaulah Church of God in Christ Holiness. He later rededicated his life and faith in Christ Jesus and was diligent in reading his bible and ministering to his family and friends.
Waymon was joined in holy matrimony to Carlecia Keller Bailey on August 12, 2022. Their union parented two godchildren, Andrea and Ava Brown. Waymon departed his life on 05/29/2024.
