Susie Jane Rucker -Vann

Mrs. Susie Jane Rucker-Vann “The cute one” was born September 3, 1958 to Joe Henry & Mattie Ruth Rucker in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Susie accepted Christ at an early age. Susie knew the Lord and the bible and would often uplift and encourage others with God’s word. In 2016 Susie, Tony, and Eva as a family became members of Fountain of Faith Missionary Baptist Church.

Susie graduated from Carver High School located in Birmingham, Al. She also attended UAB and Clark Atlanta.

Susie loved Family, travel, Fashion, and her high heels. She loved and cared for all people, especially her nieces and nephews. She was considered the “fun aunt.” She had a heart of gold. She would help anybody.

Susie moved to Atlanta, Ga in 1991 where she was employed with AA Med Care to the timing of her death, where she worked alongside her dear friend Debra Neal.

Susie was preceded in death by her parents Joe & Mattie Ruth Rucker, her late husband Tony Vann.

Susie leaves to cherish her memories to her daughter Eva Anderson, Mother in law Jacqueline Vandiver, Brother Frank S. Rucker, Sister Evelyn Anderson (Thurman Anderson) and host of loving uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
