Rosalind Clarke Obituary

     Rosalind Lynn Clarke, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia, at the age of 65. Born on October 17, 1959, at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, Rosalind was born to the late Agina and Carl Nance, who both preceded her in death. She grew up in Chicago, Illinois in the Chicago Heights area attending several schools in the Cook County School District and graduating from Bloom High School in 1977. Rosalind devoted her life to caring for others, both personally and Rosalind devoted her life to caring for others, both personally and professionally. She had a special gift for nurturing children. She relocated to Atlanta, GA in 1979 where she obtained a degree in Early Childhood Education.

     She worked at many different KinderCare locations throughout the Atlanta area for over 20 years until she relocated to Miami, FL and worked at Jesus People Christian earning Center in Vankara. She later retired in 2005 and moved to St. Petersburg, FL. Rosalind was married to the late Ronald A. Clarke in 1992 who preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memories Anisa Muhammad (daughter), who precedes her in death.

     Her memory will be cherished by her sisters Hameedoh Muhammad (Lee) and Carlene White, and her brothers Carl Nance Jr. and Mark Winston, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. She is survived by her four children- Lester (Fard) Muhammad (son), Hassan Muhammad, Olubukola (Nicole) Williams(daughter) and Adedamola (Dame) Williams (son).

     Rosalind also leaves behind 11 beloved grandchildren: Cedrick, Fard Jr, Prophet, William, Aihkee, Kenyan, Goddess, Quani, Emani, Saniya & Jannah and Two Great Grandchildren Ace and Cedrick Jr. who were the joy of her life.

     Rosalind was raised Muslim under the Nation of Islam where she later converted to other spiritual guidance, she always loved GOD. She enjoyed life’s simple pleasures — good food, gospel music, meeting new people, trips to the movies, traveling, and especially spending time with her family. She had a special love for panda bears, which brought her joy and comfort. She had a smile that would light up the room everywhere she went, she never met a stranger. Rosalind was always kind and sweet to anyone she came in contact with.

     Rosalind will be remembered for her strength, her joyful spirit, her nurturing heart, and her unwavering love for her family. Her warmth and compassion touched the lives of many families and friends. Her legacy of kindness and dedication will live on in all who knew and loved her.
