On June 19, 1960, in McDonough, Georgia, Otis Spencer was born to Otis Crawford and the late Bertha Mae Settles-Spencer. He departed this life in Eastman, Georgia, February 15, 2026.
He acquired his education in the Atlanta Public Schools System (W. F. Slaton & Gilbert Elementary, Price & Hoke Smith High). In his earlier years, Otis was a track star and joined the ROTC while in high school.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bertha Mae Settles-Spencer.
Otis is survived by his daughter, Crystal Spencer, father, Otis Crawford, and Stepmother (Lucy); four brothers, Calvin Spencer, Kenneth Spencer, Wyman Spencer, and Stephen Crawford; a devoted sister-in-law, Diane Warren-Spencer; nieces & nephews; and a host of relatives.
