Cynthia Ann Kelley was born July 13th, 1963, in Butler, Georgia to the late Irene Kelley and Jimmy Melvin. Cynthia, affectionately known as Mae and Cynt, lived her early childhood years in Butler, Ga. with her grandmother the late Nazzie Lee Bell Kelley. Cynthia attended the Second Tazewell Baptist Church before relocating to Atlanta, Ga. After moving to Atlanta to live with her mother and stepfather. She attended Price High School. She also attended bartender school and worked various jobs throughout her lifetime until she made the sacrifice to stay home to raise her loving children.
Cynthia was called on the early morning, on July 8th, 2023, at the age of 59 to take her place in the heavenly garden to bloom among God’s other roses.
Cynthia was preceded in her death by her mother, Irene Kelley Searcy, stepfather Robert Searcy, one brother Vincent Searcy, and four uncles: Sonny Kelley, Otis Kelley, Eddie Kelley, and Bobby Kelley.
She leaves to cherish her memories two (2) children: Kenyatta Kelley of Atlanta, Ga, and Cornelius Askew (Shantria) of Ellenwood, Ga, and Fiancée Terrell Searcy of Forrest Park, Ga. Seven (7) grandchildren: Dyquiel Askew (Alisha), Marquavious Askew (Myesha Whitfield), Brianna Woods, Tyreke Askew, Cameron Askew, Chase Askew, and Carter Askew. 4 Great Grandchildren: Ivery, Bryce, Isaiah, and Benjamin. Father: Jimmy Melvin Sr. of Jacksonville, Florida. Three (3) sisters Janet Rollins (Bernard) Union City, Ga, Angela Brown (Lloyd), Jacksonville, Fl, and one (1) brother Jimmy Melvin Jr. (Jain) Jacksonville, Fl. Three (3) Aunts: Emma Hammond of Atlanta, Ga, Dianne Kelley of Butler, Ga, and Peola Kelley of Atlanta, Ga. 10 nieces and nephews and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
