Corey King

Corey King, 28, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed on August 9, 2023. Corey was born on June 30, 1995. He was born to Jackie King and Corey Smith. Corey was well loved everywhere he went. He graduated in prison and wanted to be a truck driver.

He is survived by his mom (Jackie King) his stepfather (Anthony Gooden), a son (Latrell Lightfoot), Two brothers (Torey Stanford and manman), one stepbrother (Anthony Gooden, III), two sisters (Tambra Farley and Coreneshia Smith), three step sisters (Iesha Gooden, Quien Gooden, and Ariel Foster), A number of aunts and uncles, A Number of cousins, and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his immediate family, Corey leaves behind a vast network of friends and extended family who knew him as a brother, nephew, cousin, or friend. His absence will be deeply felt by all who recognized his ability to bring joy and light into the lives of others.

Though Corey's time with us was cut tragically short, his legacy will endure in the memories and hearts of those who were fortunate to cross his path. He will be remembered as a beacon of kindness and compassion, a brilliant mind, and a generous spirit. Corey's departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but the imprint he left on our lives will forever be cherished.
