Alexandrine Exceus, known to everyone as Sansan’n, was born on September 23, 1969, in the town of Port-de-Paix, Haiti. She was the daughter of Frantz Exceus and Josette Paul. Sansan’n completed her primary education at Nozirèl School in Port-au-Prince, and continued her secondary education at Aimé Césaire College, later finishing at Lycée Marie Jeanne. After completing her secondary education, she attended a school called First School, where she obtained a diploma in secretarial studies.
She spent nearly her entire professional career at la Cour Supériure des Comptes (Court of Auditors) in Haiti, where she worked for 25 years. Sansan’n married on December 30, 1995, though the marriage ended a few years later. From this union, she had the privilege to bring life to Fabien-Olivier, Ryan, and Gloria Joassaint. She spent her life working hard to provide a better life for her children.
Sansan’n was a determined person in everything she did, while also being cheerful. She loved to laugh and make jokes, especially with her son Ryan, to whom she was very affectionate. After a long illness, which she endured with courage, Sansan’n leaves behind her father Frantz Exceus, her mother Josette Paul, her children: Fabien-Olivier, Ryan, and Gloria; her siblings: Wilky, Gaspad, Nadee, Node, Mafize, Adeltrude, Evelyne, Enock, Islande, and Kentz; her uncles and aunts: Xavier, Raynald, Yolette, Yolene, Mireille, and Brunie; her nieces and nephews: Stephanie, Ghaffcarld, Otrude, Valentina, Francesca, Nayla, Ruth, Debora, Cheslie, Darvel, Sam-Lees, and Sara-Lee; and her cousins: Murlene, Julie, Marie Celia, and Terry. The entire Exceus, Paul, Joassaint, and Moise families, along with Sansan’n’s friends, mourn her loss, but she will always remain in our love and in the beauty of the family.
